Want of Sin is 6 piece outfit from the frigid landscape of Wisconsin, bringing a unique blend of black metal, shoegaze, and heresy. Formed in the year 2019 the band began their journey of experimentation drawing from their varied artistic backgrounds and influences. In 2020 they released their Demo EP “Echoes of Resentment” setting a standard of devastating vocals complimented by a brutalizing backdrop of riff work and drum technique. After a lineup change in 2021 Want of Sin reentered the studio to begin their freshman album “Hydrophobic”. With an emphasis on doing everything in house they have begun to craft a rawness where intention is felt in every touch. Set to release in 2024, the album seeks to display the growth of the band. Stepping up to live performances in the freezing winter of 2022 since then Want of Sin has opened for bands such as Uada,  Ghost Bath, Valdrin, Wayfarer, Sonja, and Conjurer. Their stage presence seeks to be nothing short of religious which plays into their overarching theme of zealous worship. In the future they plan to bring their good word much beyond their bleak home state and welcome others into the world of sin.
